A Truth about God!

Dear friend,

Everyone is seeking to know the truth about God. That's why we see so many religions with so many believers trying to please God through their rituals/worship.
The true God is very different from the ones that the religions portray. Many people want to know how to find the differences between the true God and the gods of the religions.

In the course of time, I will show you what you need to know when seeking to worship the true God.

First of all, please note the following: If you ask a person what is God's name, you would get different answers. A Jew would say 'Yahweh'. A Christian would say 'Jehovah' or 'Jesus'. A Muslim would say 'Allah'. A Hindu would say 'Shiva' or 'Vishnu' or 'Brahma' or some other names. Other (ancient) religions had names for their chief God like Jupiter/Zeus, Odin, Ra, etc.

The true God doesn't really have a name! Our names are used as identifying 'labels'. Because there are so many men, each man has a separate name to identify him from other men. Because there are so many women, each woman has an individual name to identify her from other women. We even give names to animals because we want to identify them from other animals. We give names to places to identify them from other places. We name houses/buildings to identify them, etc.

However, since there is only one God, there is no need for a 'label' to identify this individual God from other gods.

The true God is immortal, eternal, incorruptible, omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, invisible, infinite, etc. Let's take a look at some of these attributes to enable us to know the truth about the one true God.

May the wisdom of the Divine One enable you to render true reverence to the Living God.

His servant

Two different Lives!

Life on Earth Vs. Life in Heaven

God has given each every one of us a body and a soul to live on earth.  We may loose our life (the mortal one) here on earth in order to gain the eternal life that lasts longer.  Here is a table that differentiates the major differences between these two lives (mortal and immortal).
Life Here
Life After
Life on earth is for a short duration (70 or 80 years)
Life in heaven is eternal.
Life on earth is a chance given to determine the life after
Life in heaven is our destiny.
Life on earth can be lost
Life in heaven must be gained by gaining the Soul.
Life on earth must be lived for God (who is in Heaven) and His Kingdom
Life in heaven is with Jesus and the host of heaven.

Jesus said to his disciples the following verses:

"If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me

For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it.

What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul?  Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?"  (Matthew 16:24-26)

Carry your Candle - A Song by Chris Rice

GO LIGHT YOUR WORLD!

Chris Rice

           C               G
There is a candle in every soul
              F                      C  G
Some brightly burning, some dark and cold
           C                 G
There is a Spirit who brings fire
 C/E      F          G         C
Ignites a candle and makes His home

           C                  F
Carry your candle, run to the darkness
             C                      G
Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn
              C                 F
Hold out your candle for all to see it
          C     G                   E/G# Am F
Take your candle, and go light your world
          C/G   G                   C
Take your candle, and go light your world

Frustrated brother, see how he's tried to
Light his own candle some other way
See now your sister, she's been robbed and lied to
Still holds a candle without a flame

Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the lonely, the tired and worn
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world
Take your candle, and go light your world

We are a family whose hearts are blazing
So let's raise our candles and light up the sky
Praying to our Father, in the name of Jesus
Make us a beacon in darkest times

Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the helpless, deceived and poor
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world

Carry your candle, run to the darkness

Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world
Take your candle, and go light your world

A TRUE CHRISTIAN PREACHER!

Several years ago, a Christian preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to a church in Houston , Texas. Some weeks after he arrived, he had an occasion to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter Dollar too much change. As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, 'You'd better give the quarter dollar back. It would be wrong to keep it.' Then he thought, 'Oh, forget it, it's only a quarter dollar. Who would worry about this little amount? Anyway, the bus company gets too much fare; they will never miss it. Accept it as a 'gift from God' and keep quiet.'

When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, and then he handed the quarter dollar to the driver and said, 'Here, you gave me too much change '

The driver, with a smile, replied, 'Aren't you the new preacher in town?'

'Yes' he replied.

'Well, I have been thinking a lot lately about going somewhere to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change. I'll see you at church on Sunday.'

When the preacher stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, held on, and said, 'Oh God, I almost sold your Son for a quarter dollar.'

Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read. This is  really a  scary example of how much people watch us as Christians, and will put us to the test! Always be on guard -- and remember -- You carry the name of CHRIST on your shoulders when you call yourself
' CHRISTIAN '
Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny..
The Will of God will never take you to where the Grace of God will not PROTECT you...

Want to become Rich?

Points to remember to become Rich!

These are the five points taken from Proverbs 28 about becoming rich:

Don't conceal your sins, but confess and renounces them:
"Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper,
but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy." (Proverbs 28:13).

Work in your land (i.e., do your work not only at office, but also at home):
"He who works his land will have abundant food,
but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty."  (Proverb 28:19).

Don't eager to get rich, but be faithful in whatever you do:
"A faithful man will be richly blessed,
but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished."

Don't be greedy, but trust in the LORD to prosper:
"A greedy man stirs up dissension,
but he who trusts in the LORD will prosper."

Give to the poor and don't close your eyes to them:
"He who gives to the poor will lack nothing,
but he who closes his eyes to them receive many curses."

Surely there is a future for U!

"There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off." (Proverbs 23:18)

Based on this Bible verse, which talks about the bright future of a person who has his hope in God, and other related verses (Pro. 24:14 & Pro. 24:20), we can conclude that there is a future hope for the righteous.

With this assurance in mind, we need to do the following for having a bright future in our life:
    1. Look for the bright future
    2. Plan for the future
    3. Pray for the future
    4. Work for the future
    5. Thank God for the bright future
    6. Gain Wisdom for the bright future (Pro. 24:14)

When we do our part, God is truthful and faithful in keeping his word about our bright future.  Because is he is the God of past, present and the future.  He is Alpha and He is Omega.  He is the first and the last.
